Shelter 411 is a website where users can find animal, homeless, and women's shelters in the Washington, D.C. area. Our website connects the user to the websites of the shelters, where they can learn how to volunteer or donate. We also have have included tabs that contain information such as the importance of rescuing pets and much more!

Many people are interested in donating their time and money to charitable organizations, but are not aware of volunteer opportunities or familiar with shelters in their area.

We created a website to educate the public about local animal and homeless shelters, and encourage users to donate and volunteer.

We had trouble making our buttons link to another page. We fixed this problem by using w3schools.com; we added the onclick attribute to the button tag to make sure the link would load when you click the button.
We also struggled with syntax errors when using the Google Maps API, but as we became more comfortable with the API and JavaScript, we were more easily able to debug these problems.
