VR Social Media Platform Prototype

Produced by the Obscura Admin Team: Vanessa V, Monica S, Melanie A, and McKenzie M.

Obscura is a virtual reality (VR) compatible social media platform. The use of this website will be similar to Instagram or Facebook, but it will be different in that it has VR compatibility. The website features ways to add friends and events so that users can stay connected and network with others. Posts are organized in a clear fashion to keep users updated on recent news, and VR is available to watch shared videos and games at the click of a button.

Our project addresses the issue of lacking social networks by providing an interactive user experience alongside virtual reality compatibility.

The challenges we faced while creating Obscura included problems putting together the database, uploading images, creating sections for text and images, and setting up the navigation bar and hero slider. We were able to overcome these challenges by using a kanban and frequent scrum meetings to organize tasks and find online solutions.
