Math is more useful than you think

Nightmare is an escape-the-room style computer game with a haunted house theme. The objective of the game is to defeat monsters using math and problem solving skills.

Not many young people are interested in math and science.

We created a game to help increase interest in math and science. To progress through our game, Nightmare, players must use their math and problem solving skills.

We had a difficult time deciding which programming language to use to create our game. Because we did not have as much time as we would have liked to work on this project, we decided to use Scratch to make the process more efficient.

"I love the graphics and the music!"

"The game looks very professional."

We are the Hacking Dead, a group of three teenage girls interested in computer science and coding. We would like to encourage more people to pursue STEM fields in the future.
