“Embrace your Naturalness”

Nia A., Geraé L., and Myla O.

NaturalTeas is our website to describe the cultural practice of living natural. Our website shows people the different ways to wear natural hair. We show our users the confidence that comes with being natural and how healthy the outcome of your hair will look.

We wanted to include an upload feature on our website but that requires PHP. We wanted users to be able to post pictures on the website.

We decided not to include the upload feature in our website because it needed php and python anywhere wouldn’t allow us to make it live. In the future we would like to make our website have an upload feature.

We wanted to create a username and login database so that users could have their own account and profile. However, this required us to use a Django framework. We incorporated the code but, our CSS(style) of our pages no longer worked. We ended up having to create a new file and then add the style to file. In the end, we were able to put everything together and have a working login database.

"I love your project because it helps people realize that natural is beautiful.

My name is Myla Oliphant and I am 16 years old. This program was an amazing experience for me because it introduced me into the world of coding. I like to spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy playing sports.

My name is Nia Anderson and i am also 16. When i started this program i actually dreaded coming. I wasn’t interested in coding and learning about technology. A couple days later i started  to understand it and it became enjoyable for me. Im very grateful that my mom signed me up for me to expand my knowledge of things that i’m aware of and more opportunities could open up to me.

My name is Gerae Long and i am 16. When i first came to GWC i liked it right away. I want computer science to be my minor in college but i want to major in business thanks to GWC i got to make new friends.
