LIGHTHOUSE is a website geared towards mental health awareness. It is comprised of information about specific aspects of mental health diversity as well as organizations and other informative resources regarding mental health awareness. We hope that people will use this website as a resource to help break down the stereotype that surrounds mental health diversity.

1 in 4 people in the United States struggle with their mental health, and many of them do not seek the help that they need because of the stigma that comes from people who do not have the appropriate understanding.

We created a universal website with information and resources that everyone can use to help improve understandings, destigmatize, and encourage positive and open conversations about mental health diversity.

One of the technical problems that we faced was taking all of the concepts and ideas that we learned over the summer and piecing them together to create a fully functional website. We overcame this challenge by working together continuously and reaching out to other girls in our class.

"It is so helpful, eye-opening, and informative!"

We are five girls, four seniors and one junior, from New York. We all love computer science because of all we can achieve using technology. LIGHTHOUSE was created to raise awareness about mental health diversity and make a positive impact on society as a whole.
