Lavender is an LGBTQ+ inclusive website that's main parts are the Q+A forum page and the Resources page. Lavender features a monthly spotlight for a person in the LGBTQ+ community that is doing great things and representing their community well. Our website is called Lavender because of the term "Lavender Linguistics" which is the way people in the LBGTQ+ community communicate using slang, pronunciations, and body language.

There is a lack of centralized resources for and a space for discussion of LGBT+ topics.

Lavender provides a list of resources related to a variety of LGBT+ topics, as well as a safe space for LGBT+ individuals to ask for advice within the community.

We had trouble using Django to create our q and a page; we overcame this roadblock by researching our problems and surveying different webpages and forums to see which solutions best suited our needs.

"Lavender made me smile because it felt so new and unique to have someone create a product specifically for me, and it was touching." -Jo M.
