Our website was created to help people who have busy, stressful lives find an easy way to destress and relax. We provide an outlet by walking you through a calming, meditation-like, simulation. We also provide additional resources from online creators and links to professional websites that offer even more services and long-term solutions.

In the modern era, there is a growing level of stress among busy people, such as high schoolers. As a result of stress, a high percentage of this population suffers from panic attacks and anxiety. They often find themselves with little time to relax and few opportunities/outlets to help them through stress.

Provide an outlet by efficiently walking the user through a calming, meditation-like simulation run by a “chatbot.” We also provide additional resources from online creators and links to professional websites that offer even more services and long-term solutions.

One of the main challenges in creating the simulation was getting the web “application” to act as a human-like chatbot. Because we wanted the simulation to act as a real person leading the user through calming exercises, we had to make each prompt of the walkthrough appear at the rate of talking to a human. Additionally, we had to take careful measures in distancing ourselves from assuming the role of a medical professional.

We met at camp during the summer of 2017 in Austin, TX, but are from a mix of Austin, Red Rock, Pflugerville and even Chicago. Even though we just met as a group for two weeks we worked well together, always having fun while making sure to get work done. We are all upperclassmen in high school and each feel that help for mental illnesses is severely lacking for teenagers.
