Ecodesystem is a website to educate people about climate change and ways that they can help the environment. We used Scratch, Ren'Py, Jimdo, and JavaScript to build games, interactive stories, and our mascot, Cyber, a friendly polar bear. Please visit our link to learn what you can do to support the environment!

People in our community are ill-informed about climate change, and we wanted inform them about their impact to help them make better decisions.

We are teaching people through games, videos, and facts. Our website also offers information about companies that they can support to help the environment.

When too many people tried to work on our website at once, it glitched. We were going to make an interactive video, but were unable to in the timeframe we had, so we switched it to a Scratch game.

This is Avon High School Girls Who Code’s 2nd year as a Club. Our Club has girls from 5 different schools and grades 6-12. We met Monday nights from September to June. Our Club learned a lot about hardware this year, such as using Makey-Makeys, m-bot Rover, and Circuit Playgrounds.

We also made Scratch games and did digital art in JavaScript. This year, we hosted our first hack-a-thon using MIT AppInventor to create a tracker app.

This project was made by Girls Who Code Club students at Avon High School.
