We created an online game to raise awareness about Charity Water, which is an organization that helps build wells around the world to help people get clean drinking water. We used JavaScript to create a maze that you move an avatar through, and you have to answer questions about Charity Water to get past obstacles. The maze ends at a well.

Many people around the world do not have access to clean drinking water for drinking and preparing food. A lot of people get sick without access to clean water.

Lots of people spend hours and hours every day just walking to get water. Girls are not able to attend school because they have to spend the majority of their time getting water.

Charity Water helps by building wells in villages so people can get clean water closer to where they live. They now can spend their time going to school or working elsewhere. We created an online game to raise awareness about this important issue and solution.

When we first started, it was easy to have the avatar move along the maze in one direction, but once we had to move the avatar in multiple directions, it was very difficult. We ended up "acting out" the code with our bodies to visualize how we should write code, and that really helped us figure it out.
