The purpose of Bloom is to empower individuals. It is meant to operate as not only a source of information, but as a remainder that you are in control of your own body, and there is not one " normal" human experience. The Bloom team hopes to equip you with the tools to live your best life.

How often do you see curly hair products advertised? How often do you see oily/dry skin advertised? The answer is slim to none. Being different isn't praised in society. We feel comfortable in society's conformed bubble. The desire to have the perfect image is one way that we try to conform to what society says is normal.

The Bloom Team wants to refine the definition of normal. Everyone's characteristics and imperfections should be praised because it's all you got! This website is a self care platform, equipped to serve you, for you. We want individuals to feel empowered even if it means starting from their hair to their skin, health, and sex.

Originally, the Bloom Team thought that creating this website would be a piece of cake! However, we were proven wrong as soon as we opened our computers. It was a hassle to start even in general. We didn't know how to start our code or even where to begin. Our problems ranged from creating the look of the homepage to coding the drop down menu. We even had trouble getting our links to go to the correct pages! Sticking to the minimal viable product also proved to be difficult as we were worried that our webpages did not contain enough information necessary to complete our mission. Once we solved those problems, new problems arose and we became worried that we would not be able to finish our website before the deadline. However, with the help of the internet and each other, we were able to overcome our challenges and after a few days of working nonstop, as well as completing a lot of coffee runs, we created the perfect website that empowers young individuals and equips them with the tools necessary to live life.

We are passionate girls who love to code!
