Changing the world one story at a time

Our website is a platform for people to share their assault experiences as well as check out other people's stories. We have incorporated a location flagger that shows markers on the map for places where assault have occurred so users will be able to see what is going on in their community or simply a place they are in. There is a forum page where users can post their stories as well as comment on experiences they have opinions on.

The problem is that there have been too many sexual assault occurrences that go unknown and there hasn't been a big change in creating a safe space for people to open up about their experiences.

Through stories from all around the world and statistics, people will get exposure to how big of an issue sexual assault is. By tagging locations through their stories, users can be more cautious when they go to new places and be able to prevent an assault situation.

We had difficulties using bootstrap to format our website nicely but after reading about it we made changes to our code and created a nice layout for our site on different displays.

"This website will open up discussions about an important topic that many people don't bring up." -Andrea
